Who can forget the Grant Wood picture of the stern faced old man holding a pitchfork with his daughter by his side? This famous 1930s picture is titled, "American Gothic" and has been the source of many parodies. Mickey & Minnie Mouse have posed in American Gothic style, as have Miss Piggy and Kermit.
